Annual Spring Institute:
The Annual Spring Institute will be held on April 16 - 18, 2024!
We can’t wait to get together with you again!
The Annual Spring Institute will offer sessions that are dynamic and interactive with the most current information. Some of the topics include SD Department of Health update, leadership and culture, CMS ROP for behaviors, ethical considerations in sexuality, activity programming for challenging needs, advance care planning, trauma informed care, restorative nursing program, falls prevention using QAPI, wound care for nursing, compliance and reimbursement, nursing skills, MDS changes, PDPM tools, incident reporting, AL Resources, AL Emergency Preparedness, infection prevention, PASRR, and DC update.
There will be specific sessions for frontline caregivers on Wednesday which include restorative nursing, skills performance, and education training requirements, MDS changes, wound care, and falls using QAPI. A member facility can register two frontline caregivers on Wednesday for FREE with a facility registration to the Annual Spring Institute.
The theme is “United in Caring.”
Continuing education credits will be granted to administrators, nurses, dietitians, dietary managers, activities, and social workers.
