SDALA Administrator of the Year Award Nomination

Through the Assisted Living Administrator of the Year Award, SDALA recognizes an Assisted Living Administrator who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement, and capabilities in their provision of high quality resident-centered care in an assisted living facility.

SDALA encourages you to take advantage of this opportunity to show your appreciation to those who work with you and help to provide love and care to your residents. The Assisted Living Administrator of the Year will be recognized at the Annual Fall Convention.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Exhibit leadership, communication and teamwork skills that are inherent in providing high quality care in the assisted living setting.

  2. Exhibit an active role in the facility’s local community to enhance the residents’ lives and facility’s commitment to the community.

  3. Recognition by his/her peers as an exemplary leader and an advocate of the elderly and staff in assisted living.

  4. Demonstrate success as an administrator who successfully leads his/her facility to deliver person-centered care and achieves quality of life for the residents.

  5. Displays integrity and a high standard of ethical behavior.

  6. Displays personal leadership and dedication to residents and staff.

Each nominee must be employed by a member facility and must have a minimum of one-year experience as an assisted living administrator. Nomination must be submitted on the nominee form and each entry should be accompanied by a copy of the nominee’s resume/vitae and an essay outlining how the nominee meets and demonstrates the criteria into his/her daily routine. Each essay should be no longer than 500 words in length typed in New Times Roman, size 14 and double-spaced Word document.

 Each nomination should be accompanied by a copy of the nominee’s resume/vitae and essay outlining how the nominee meets and demonstrates the criteria into his/her daily routine. Use as many examples as possible. In the essay. please refer to the person as “the nominee”, and don not identify the assisted living community or location. Each essay must be typed in Times New Roman, size 14, double-spaced Word document, no longer than 500 words in length. Please do not submit pictures with your nomination form and related materials. Essays longer than 500 words requirement may be disqualified.

Note: All activities demonstrated by the nominee and used in the nomination must have been performed in compliance with applicable state and federal labor laws.
